At Small Farm Innovations, we’ve always believed that the best endorsement for our equipment comes from the farmers who use it every day. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of our SFI Certified Ambassadors Program – a groundbreaking initiative that connects prospective buyers with experienced SFI equipment owners in their local area.
What is the SFI Certified Ambassadors Program?
The SFI Certified Ambassadors Program creates a network of satisfied customers who have firsthand experience with our hay equipment and are willing to share that knowledge with other farmers in their region. Unlike traditional dealer relationships, our Ambassador program leverages the authentic experiences of working farmers who have integrated our equipment into their own operations.
As Phil, our founder, explains: “There’s nothing more valuable than seeing equipment in action on a real farm, operated by someone who uses it day in and day out. Our Ambassadors provide that genuine perspective that you simply can’t get from a sales brochure or website.”
How the Program Works
The concept is straightforward but powerful:
- Qualified Equipment Owners: Current owners of select SFI hay equipment can apply to become Certified Ambassadors.
- Local Demonstration: Ambassadors make themselves available to demonstrate their equipment to interested buyers in their geographic area.
- Real-World Experience: Prospective customers get to see the equipment in action in authentic farm settings and ask questions to someone who uses it regularly.
- Post-Sale Support: If a sale results, Ambassadors can provide optional setup assistance and local knowledge to help the new owner get started successfully.
- Commission Structure: Ambassadors receive a commission for sales that result from their demonstrations and support.

Becoming an SFI Certified Ambassador
To qualify for the SFI Certified Ambassadors Program, participants must:
- Own and actively use qualifying SFI hay equipment
- Have at least one full season of experience with the equipment
- Complete the SFI Ambassador certification process
- Maintain their equipment in excellent working condition
- Be willing to demonstrate equipment and provide setup assistance
- Uphold SFI’s standards for honesty and customer service
