Many people will go purchase a used square baler because the square baler produces a bale comparable to the mini round bale. What happens to a lot of these people is they plan on baleing on the weekend because they are off from work. Their used square baler breaks down and they have no way to get parts or tech support till the next work day.
With a used round baler, you face the same problems. You need a bigger tractor to operate a larger round baler and there is a possibility of a belt or bearing failure preventing you from getting your hay baled. Used equipment is ok as long as you have the time, tools, and knowledge to repair larger balers.
